Education Kit distribution at GGHS Banat Dabgari Garden Peshawar,
The program formally began with a general discussion, the chief guest was briefed about the Minorities students selection, DLG Executive Director informed the chief guest that all these are the community members and teachers’ committee recommenders extremely needy children are supported under the DLG/BC and Scottish Government program so that they can fulfill their needs, parents should not be burdened and they can continue their studies without any difficulties. The chief guest was also briefed about the available kit comprising of learning materials and saw the items on the spot and appreciated the quality and quantity.
The school principal also presented a bouquet of flowers to the chief guest on behalf minorities’ students and teachers.
The ED of DLG introduced all the guests regarding the ongoing projects of BC/Scottish and DLG and also told about the usefulness of the targeted school, and further told that BC/Scotish programs are also helping needy students in the districts of Peshawar, Khyber, Charsadda, Nowshera Buner and Swabi, as per set criteria of the designed project and bring more transparency in the students selection process, the committee of the school level including teachers and parents has been formed to work closely with the management to select needy students to provide complete educational kits as part of their third year educational kit program contain essential items (school bag, uniform, shoes, copies etc) and also helping the selected students in transportation cost which includes examination and registration fee, and this is the beauty of this project.
Chief guest was introduced with gathering that Rukhshanda Bibi has dedicated her whole life to social works for the rights of women and children in legal side, she also remain head of the legal aid institution and worked in UN WOMEN, She performed these duties well and this is the reason why she holds the highest position of justice and is working as an ombudsperson in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The chief guest Rukhshanda Bibi first appreciated the strong efforts of Madam Meraj of De Laas Gul welfare program and said that Madam has been my teacher and I have had the opportunity to learn a lot from her and she was running an NGO in that time where the concept of social sector was least introduced, Meraj Bibi has a big hand in the success and it is How can it be that she invited me and we did not come? she also introduced the DLG program and congratulated the way this organization chose this school under the Scottish Government program for needy children, especially minorities girls, their parents’ sense of deprivation is providing support in terms of education and for needy children, especially girls, under the Scottish program, she urged the students to get quality education from their experienced teachers.
Rukhshanda Bibi spent a lot of time with the children and their teachers and interested the children in various issues. life is great when you stay away from negative, jealous and unhappy people, the chief guest assures all kinds of support to the school management and the students as well, she said that the doors of the provincial ombudsperson office are open for common people and if they need any kind of support from her office and can get help from the DLG platform. .
The chief guest also informed the students and their respective teachers about the performance of the ombudsperson office with regard to women’s issues and how the ombudsperson office resolves people’s issues with quick and affordable justice, people’s trust in this office is increasing.
The chief guest urged the students to improve their learning standard to teach in a more efficient manner under the DLG/Scottish program that these are the candles that will give lights and one day these girls will stand on their own feet and will serve the nation and the country,
